Trails are still 90% good, with some wet spots and occasional dirt showing. If you can get out early when temps are below zero skiing will still be decent. Not groomed, but melted surface is hard packed.

Getting down to last days of skiing. Trails are still snow covered. If you can get out after a freezing night you can still get good skate skiing. Grooming is done unless we get some more snow. Soon enough dirt will be showing through in spots although the packed snow stays solid for much longer than you would expect.

Excellent skiing. Skate lane groomed today and is granular snow. Classic track is mix of glazed in the sun and snow in the shade.

Saturday March 14

Blue was groomed for skate and classic this morning.  Yellow and pink trails done for skate.  Conditions should be good.

Trails open March 12

Trails are re-frozen and open, but with a hard layer of ice/snow. Conditions will be icy and sketchy on downhills. At present there is no classic track.

With snow coming on Friday we will be able to groom a nice surface again.

Conditions March 2

We are officially in spring skiing! With the melt and thaw cycle conditions depend upon the time of day. Early mornings will be hard and fast, and as the temps tip above zero will become soft. 

Great conditions on all trails. Groomed regularly.

Green and Blue trails were groomed this morning with more done in afternoon.

Trails are ok for skate skiing with the temp above zero they are soft enough, but it will be challenging to get grip to classic.

Trail conditions Dec 11 - trails are open!

Trails are open!

All trails packed again after some new snow. Conditions much improved but still bumpy with some rough spots and occasional rock. No classic track is set yet but there will be enough base to do that shortly. Stick to the  main trails of green, blue, sprint and red. The others are pretty rough still.

The blue swamp has not been groomed but it safe to ski across. 4" of ice is not enough for heavy equipment but fine to ski.

Trail conditions Dec 4

Trails have been packed but are very rough. There is not enough snow to consider the trails open yet. If you are skiing expect to hit rocks.

A family membership is $177.25, which is a discounted rate based on 2 adults of the same household and 2 or more children (18 years or younger) as of December 31, 2025.  You may have noticed that last year, PAXC had the privilege of prepping and grooming the ski trails with some brand new equipment, thanks to a 2024 Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF)'s grant of $56,100. The goals behind the purchases supported by this grant were to maximize ski trial utilization, increase participation and foster healthy active lifestyles. Thank you to OTF!

Skiing is good after the new now.  No grooming planned.

Ski conditions are still very good. Below zero trails will be hard and fast; above zero will be soft and slow. Good coverage everywhere still. The classic track has melted out but skating is excellent when the temps are just above zero. 

Saturday

New classic tracks around red, orange and blue trails.  The red and blue were groomed for skating.  Fair conditions overall, good on some sections but there are many rough patches from the thaw.  Be cautious. 

Thursday

Groomed out to red loop.   It's too wet to do much till it gets colder. 

Ski conditions are good to fair but several wet spots.  Most can be avoided. 

Sunday

Skiing is ok today despite the rain.  Trails are holding up well.

Friday

Trails are in fair condition.   The red, blue, orange and green plus inner loops have had some grooming for skating today.   Classic tracks were set earlier in the week and are still in good to fair condition.   There is the odd rock to avoid and some bumps but similar conditions to most of last season. 

Christmas eve

Red, orange, blue and green plus 400m trails have been trackset for classic.  Trails are also being rolled for skating.
