It is with heavy hearts we share the sad news of the passing of Brian Mottershead. He will always be remembered for countless hours, support and dedication to our community. His involvement was felt by many including the PAXC Ski Club, the cycling community, and the Rapid Ride and Skate Park in Pembroke. Thank you Brian for your tireless dedication and commitment. The family has asked for donations to go to the PAXC Ski Club. This can be done thru Murphy Funeral Home, e-Transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org or by giving a cheque to one of the PAXC Executive Members.
January 25th - Ski School Classes Cancelled for Today
As much as we love to ski and are looking forward to our second week of classes, the freezing rain warning affecting most of our region this morning into the afternoon presents unsafe conditions both on the trails and driving to/from. Due to this extreme weather, we have cancelled ski school for this week and look forward to seeing everyone back on the trails for Saturday, February 1st.
To make up for this 2nd lost week, we have altered our planned Ski School Schedule to include classes on the Family Day Weekend (Saturday, February 15th). This class will be a fun day in which we will have a series of special activities planned and parents are encourage to participate! Stay tuned for more details.
First Day of Ski School - Saturday, January 11th, 2020 We are looking forward to kicking off the season this Saturday (weather permitting)! We have a great team of instructors ready to hit the trails and have some fun skiing with you this winter. We hope you are excited too!
When you arrive for your first class, please check in at the cabin and remember to bring your Ski School Participation Agreement form with you (see registration details on the Ski School page).
Weather Advisory: In the event of rain, the start of ski school will be postponed until Saturday, January 18th. A notification will be posted no later than 10am on Saturday morning to both this blog and Facebook.
